For the People by the People Campaign

Our goals for this campaign are to raise at least $10,000 and to get 35 new monthly donors.

Community Well was born out of a response to a pressing need to make integrative medicine and holistic healing accessible to communities who, historically, have been made vulnerable. As we saw at the onset of the COVID pandemic, health disparities came front and center as we saw that certain communities were being highly affected. "A quote from an article in PubMed Central says, "Reducing the devastating effects of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic on underserved and historically disadvantaged communities should be a high priority in our journey to achieve health equity and social justice."

It's always been a challenge for us to quantify the impact of our work because healing and spirit work expands beyond numbers. So instead of data, here is a list of our work this past year:

Completed a 4-year Transformative Health Program in which 1000 members of our Asian, Latin, and Black communities accessed to support their health and wellness journey
Relaunched Produce For The People an innovative food security program that brings weekly farm fresh organic produce and food to our families, to date we have distributed over 2,800 bags and counting
Brought a youth program Healthy Minds, Healthy Bodies into San Francisco Schools, Beautiful Beginnings Art Collective, and San Mateo's youth summer programs
Established a weekly integrative medicine clinic in which herbalist, energy workers, intuitive and indigenous healers share their services with community members looking to restore and regenerate their minds and bodies
Partnered with Peaceful Warriors Men Of Color Healing Circle to continue providing a supportive environment where men find peer support and actively change the toxic male/masculinity narrative
Held multiple healing events and clinics for service providers, teachers, and other healers so that they have the tools and energetic reserves to draw from as they continue to hold and work with community
Developed a conscious entrepreneurship program for youth that shares a framework for BIPOC youth to translate their creative aspirations into a business model that offers a pathway to building their own good economy
Continue to be a guiding force in the systems changes regarding Healthy Eating and Active Living in San Francisco by being an active Steering Committee member of the Shape Up San Francisco Coalition

Our center continues because of the dedication and love of the people who are holding this vision and participating in creating new systems that are rooted in equity, social justice, healing, and community culture. Is my donation tax deductible?

Depends on a few factors like if you received a reward in exchange for the donation and the value of your donation above that rewards cost, etc. You may contact the nonprofit you donated to directly to receive information on whether or not your donation is tax deductible. Nonetheless, the emailed receipts you will receive for your donation is the documentation you need to make it tax deductible.

Is my donation and credit card info secure?

Yes, the security and confidentiality of your information is our highest priority. We will not sell, trade or share your personal information with anyone else, nor send donor mailings on behalf of other organizations, and we will only share personal information if you have given us specific permission to do so.

How do I know that my donation was made successfully?

You will receive an emailed receipt immediately after your donation is submitted and your credit card is processed. Your donation will also show up on your bank or card statement within 1-3 business days.

Do I get a receipt?

Yes, a receipt is sent to your email inbox once your donation is processed. Please be sure to keep a copy of your receipt for tax purposes. If you select a recurring donation, you will be sent an individual receipt each period when your donation is processed.

Is my donation private?

We will not share or sell a donor's personal information with anyone else, nor send donor mailings on behalf of other organizations.
